Our Story

Rooted in Sonoma,
Poured with Purpose

We started with a simple belief: the best cocktails don't begin at the bar — they begin in the field.

How It Started

A Walk Through a Sonoma Meadow Changed Everything

It started on a spring morning in Sonoma County — the kind where the air smells like wild sage and the hills are still impossibly green. On a casual walk through a friend's property, we stumbled across patches of wild fennel, bay laurel, elderflower, and wood sorrel — all within a hundred yards of each other.

That afternoon, we made cocktails using what we'd found. Fennel-infused gin and tonics. Bay laurel old fashioneds. Elderflower spritzes with a twist of wood sorrel. They were some of the most extraordinary drinks we'd ever tasted — not because of technique or expensive spirits, but because of connection. Connection to the land, to the season, to the moment.

That was the spark. What if every cocktail could carry that kind of meaning? What if we could share that feeling with others — at their weddings, their celebrations, their quiet Tuesday evenings?

Field to Flask was born from that walk, and that question still guides everything we do.

Our Philosophy

What We Stand For

Four principles that guide every cocktail we craft, every workshop we lead, and every experience we create.

Farm to Glass

Every ingredient has a story. We source directly from Sonoma County's farms, foragers, and artisan producers — because a cocktail made with care starts with ingredients grown with care.

Sustainability First

From compostable garnish picks to zero-waste syrup production, we're committed to leaving the land better than we found it. Our foraging practices follow strict sustainability guidelines.

Education & Connection

We believe the best cocktail experiences happen when people understand what's in their glass. Every pour is an opportunity to connect with the land, the season, and each other.

Seasonal Intention

Our menus change with the seasons because nature knows best. Spring brings elderflower and wild fennel, summer explodes with stone fruit, fall offers persimmon and sage, winter warms with citrus and spice.

Our Home

Why Sonoma County

Sonoma County isn't just where we live — it's our pantry, our classroom, and our inspiration. With over 400 wineries, countless organic farms, a Pacific coastline rich with forageable plants, and some of the most passionate food artisans in the world, this region offers an unmatched bounty for craft cocktails.

From the misty redwood forests of the coast to the sun-baked vineyards of Dry Creek Valley, every microclimate produces unique ingredients that change with the seasons. It's a cocktail maker's paradise — and we're honored to call it home.
